The history of Süllberg can be traced back to the year 1060. Back then the first castle was built on this 75-metre high hill. The structure of Süllberg, as it stands now, was built between 1887 and 1903.

By 1850 Süllberg was already among Germany’s most popular holiday and daytrip destinations: Generations of citizens of Hamburg and Wahlhamburg chose this location to host glamourous balls, unforgettable parties, weddings, family celebrations, and all types of gatherings both big and small.

The beauty of Blankenese, its extraordinary location and view of the river Elbe have continued to attract visitors, poets and painters in swarms throughout the years.

In the former outbuilding, standing next to the main complex, individual rooms and suites were built.

All rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and are very comfortable. Warm colours, noble woods and high-quality drapery give the rooms a cosy and elegant ambience. A few of the rooms also feature a wonderful view over the river Elbe.

The gourmet restaurant "Seven Seas" is the heart of hotel Süllberg. The cuisine served is classical- French, and influenced by the diversity of the seven seas.

During the summer time you can dine on our gourmet-terrace under the starry sky with a beautiful view over the river Elbe. The restaurant was awarded with 1 Michelin-Star in November of the year 2003.

Our bistro “Süllbergterrassen” captivates with its comfortable yet classy ambience. Enjoy meals from a diverse menu and savour them in the unique setting of the river Elbe. It’s the perfect spot for an unparalleled experience.

The “Transatlantik-Lounge” offers our guests the possibility to enjoy a drink in privacy, or it can also be used as a conference room or a banquet facility.
