Award-winning Southampton bar and restaurant, The White Star Tavern and Dining Rooms, launches its new stylish look in autumn 2007 with the much anticipated unveiling of 13 individually styled luxury rooms and contemporary, redesigned bar and restaurant.

The launch follows an extensive 3-month refurbishment programme that has transformed the former seafarers’ hotel to the height of boutique accommodation.

Facilities include a fully-equipped private meeting room for up to 16 delegates, a dedicated lounge and reception, and trendy urban roof garden.

Rooms are individually designed and named after ships of The White Star Line and the original J Class Americas Cup boats.

Each of the 13 en suite rooms features seriously comfortable beds with soft Egyptian linen, stunning bathrooms including roll-top baths and over sized showers. Enjoy a mini bar stocked with your favourite products and a personal safe big enough for your laptop computer.

Rooms will also come equipped with the latest technology and entertainment including broadband Wi-Fi internet, 20 inch Freeview flat-screen TVs and CD players.

The White Star restaurant is famous for its food. Open for lunch and dinner, head chef Gavin Barnes has created an imaginative menu of modern British dishes and daily changing specials. Emphasis is placed on locally sourced, top quality ingredients served in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The contemporary, revamped restaurant will be open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
